You will be able to set up personalized error pages for each of your domains or subdomains. The feature is supported by all cloud website hosting package which we offer, so once you log in to your Hepsia CP and go to the Hosted Domains section, you may click on the Edit button for a domain/subdomain and in the pop-up which will show up, you could select the kind of error page that should appear - a default one from our system, a standard Apache server page or a customized one. For the last mentioned option, you'll have to assign the URL to the page, so if you use custom made pages, you need to upload the files inside your Internet hosting account first. An alternative way is to use an .htaccess file positioned inside the domain or subdomain folder with a line for each error type. The correct syntax can be seen in our Knowledge Base, so that you can use this function even if you do not have any previous experience.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
All Linux semi-dedicated servers that we provide support personalized error pages and it will not take more than a couple of clicks inside your Hepsia web hosting Control Panel to use this feature. The option is available in the Hosted Domains section of your CP where you will have to type in the links to the custom-made files using very simple drop-down menus and a time and effort saving interface. Needless to say, you should upload them to your account before that. If you do not want to use this feature at some point, you can deactivate it just as easily and select an Apache server page or a default page from our system to be displayed whenever your visitors encounter an error. If you prefer, you could also use an .htaccess file to activate the personalized error pages. The file has to contain a specific line of code and a link for every error type and you can easily discover an example of the entire content for all four error types in our Help section.
